I love robin's egg blue, and it's a shame that I've worn this sweater set less than 10 times since purchasing it in August 2004. Well, since it fits better now, I may be wearing it more often.

I bought this sweater back in 2004, I think. And what got me was the details -- the pink stitching on the hems and the huge flower applique. I should have taken a detail shot of the flower since it has beaded fabulousness.

I wore a grey skirt only because I didn't want to do the usual head-to-toe black.

Oh no, I can't say no. Oh-oh, oh-oh. I just let your love in.

A comfy outfit perfect for grocery shopping and for buying necessities at Target on a Sunday morning. And by 'necessities', I mean garbage bags, toilet paper, ziplock bags, and fragrance-free detergent. I did browse the Jean-Paul Gaultier section because what? it's 30% off? and even the Liberty of London section, but I managed to only purchase what I needed.

Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.

I own an elliptical machine, so I can wear whatever I want for working out.

Case in point: Today, I wore jeans.

I'm making the taste. You're chasing a flavour.

bridesmaid dress shopping

Buying a bridesmaid dress at Nordstrom was a big deal for me because 1. I'm a bridesmaid! and 2. the last time I paid full-price on something at Nordstrom was in 1998, when I bought a dress to wear to a wedding.

The bride Em had an outing for the bridesmaids to buy dresses at the awesome Nordstrom in downtown SF, which I wasn't able to go to. She had put together the outing after Maria and I finally decided on a date to see the "Cartier and America" exhibit at the Legion of Honor, which is also in SF. I was so close, yet so far away.

The following Monday, I spent my hour-long lunch at the mediocre Nordstrom in P-town hunting down that dress. Sadly, I forgot my camera at home and had to make do with my crappy cellphone's camera.

The bridesmaid's dress in its natural habitat.

bridesmaid dress in aqua

The tag states "aqua", but that's not what aqua looks like to me.

I really am surprised that my crappy cellphone was able to capture the true shade of this dress. But then again, the cellphone camera made everything else in the picture purple.

The "petite focus" section didn't have this style dress in aqua, but it did have "spring orchid" in stock. So I picked out a 12P (the largest size left on the rack) and tried it on.

I was stuck using my cellphone camera to do the dressing room pic, and I made a pretty odd face.

petite bridesmaid dress not in aqua

The next day, after work, I headed to the nice Nordstrom in SJ. They didn't have the aqua dress in the petite section, either, so I tried on a 10 from the regular special occasion dresses area.

bridesmaid dress in aqua, again

My pink camera couldn't capture the right shade to save its life, and I gave up color-balancing in Photoshop.

I ended up special ordering a 10P and having it shipped to my work.

Yesterday, it arrived, and I have yet to try it on to make sure it fits. I'll do it on Thursday, methinks.

By the way, the wedding is in January of 2011. I should think of random ways to style this dress in the meantime. I'm thinking raspberry tights, for some reason.

No need to stand proud. Add your voice to the sound of the crowd.

I gave myself five minutes, maybe less, to pick out an outfit today because I was just that lazy this morning. Oh well. At least, I was comfy at work.

You make me sweeter. You give me fever.

I just love me some baggy sweaters. I have about six that I rotate for work and sometimes for the weekend. Well, I mostly wear them for work because it is freezing cold with a/c. No surprise, the majority of them are black.

rain fall from concrete-coloured sky

This is what I wore under a hoody and a Sharks jersey on April 10:
4-10-10-a
4-10-10-b
v-neck shirt: Target.....skirt: Torrid
leggings: Target.....socks: Target.....boots: Bakers Shoes

These cheap-o Target leggings are thin, so these have to be layered under something. The hockey jersey is long enough to cover my bum, but the skirt is insurance.

By the way, the Sharks beat the Coyotes in the shootout.

April 10's outfit + a grey hoody + sneakers = workout outfit for April 11
4-11-10
Yes, I wore a skirt for exercise.

I finally dusted off the elliptical machine and worked out for 30 minutes. The last time I used it was probably September 2009, two months before we moved.

I kept from getting bored entertained myself with my iPod and by watching the rain and cars outside.

Turning and returning to some secret place inside.

This is how I looked on April 7:

sweater: Loehmann's.....tanktop: Kohls.....skirt: Ross
mini-socks: Payless.....Hush Puppies heels: DSW

4-7-10-b
4-7-10-c

More Payless mini-socks, but this time in lace. This was a learning experience for me since the lace socks kept slipping off my heels in these shoes. I've found that, for me, the mini-socks stay put when my feet are snug in the shoes and not sliding down and forward. So, for shoes with a heel that's higher than 0.5", I'm going to buy toe-covers.

Through the hourglass, I saw you. In time, you slipped away.

I think I need to buy a belt or something to cinch in the waist.

4-6-10-d
The ruffles on my shoes kinda go with the ruffles on my dress.

I am positively hooked on Payless mini-socks. I really don't like putting bare feet into shoes, and, since I've sworn off tights for now, the mini-socks rock. They were a bargain at 2 pairs for $5.00. My coworker Maria showed me the light.

Easter Sunday

This is how I looked on April 4:
4-4-10-a
4-4-10-b
sweater: JC Penney.....tanktop: Wet Seal.....jeans: Steve & Barry's
socks: Target.....boots: Bakers Shoes
circle scarf: American Apparel

Almost the same outfit from the day before, but different sweater and shoes. I am just really lazy when it comes to picking out outfits for Sundays. I'm bummed that the weekend is going to be over, so what's the point?

Brian and I went to my family's house for Easter Sunday dinner. Ham and lumpia FTW!

Sometimes, these eyes forget the face they're peering from.

This is how I looked on April 3:

This is how I looked when I left the house to meet up with Maria for our trip to the Legion of Honor in SF:
4-3-10-b
leather jacket: Wilson's Leather, a gift from Brian's mom

This is how I looked when we made it to the museum and then walked around downtown SF:
4-3-10-c
wool coat: Zara

It was beautiful and sunny in SF that Saturday, but it was also chilly and windy. I needed a jacket that would cover my bum, that's how cold I was! Being the over-cautious person that I am, I had brought along the wool coat just in case. After the museum trip, we drove on down to downtown SF to get lunch and to walk around. Brrr! Cold!

For some reason, I've been wearing my hair up in a ponytail on the weekends. Mind you, it's a pitiful ponytail, since my hair is barely shoulder-length.

Maria and I finally went on an outing to the Legion of Honor to see the "Cartier and America" exhibition. The jewels were simply breathtaking. There was this one brooch with a 47.59 carat pear-shaped diamond that we kept coming back to hover over. So amazing!

This is how I looked on April 2:
4-2-10
sweater: H&M.....tanktop: H&M.....skirt: Walmart

This was my third outfit with a grey skirt that week. It's also the second with a black sweater and a turquoise scarf. The thing is, I didn't even plan it that way. I can be so monotonous.

Too much, too little, too late to wanna dance

This is how I looked on April 1st:
4-1-10-a
4-1-10-b
sweater: H&M.....tanktop: Walmart.....skirt: Ross
socks: Target.....boots: Payless

April 1st marked the last day I wore this particular pullover. It's terribly pilly. I have taken it out of the work wardrobe closet and put into the casual wardrobe closet.

And, yes, I have two closets.
