You're moments ago, but seconds away.

I'm not one for wearing flats, unless I'm going to do a lot of walking. But, today was an exception.

Why? It's confession time: I can't drive stick shift with high heels on. There. I let it out in the open. I have no idea why I have this mental block. I can drive automatic just fine with heels, flats, sneakers, and even barefoot. But, for manual, I have to wear flats or sneakers. I told my manager this oddity of mine, and she said it's actually easier for her to drive manual with high heels on. See, it's just me!

Oh, yeah, another confession: I refuse to drive while wearing flip-flops. What? Huh? Here's why! A coworker from my Picture People days told me about what happened to a friend of hers: this friend's flip-flop got stuck on the accelerator and she ran her car through the front of a 7-11 because she couldn't stop. I already have paranoid tendencies, but this story freaked the heck out of me!

Okay, back to today. I got off work a bit early to drop off my car at the shop and to pick up Brian's car. His car is standard, thus was born my reason for wearing flats today.

Zero, one, two, three, four days without you...

I didn't plan on wearing the same sweater from yesterday, but, I have to admit that it's my fave baggy sweater. It was less than six bucks at Nordstrom Rack.

I wore three different pairs of shoes today. My trusty hot pink and black skull Vans for stick-shift driving. My heels for work. My sneakers for my lunchtime walk. Sorry, I didn't feel like changing into three different pairs of shoes for the pics. ;)

Baby's got a brand new bag!
Thank you, Brian~!!

cardigan: Nordstrom Rack.....top: Ross.....skirt: Steve & Barry's
purse: Dooney & Bourke, Las Vegas

shoes: Payless.....2 bracelets: one home-made, the other store-bought

This is Erica. :)

I truly heart the navy blue tartan from D&B. Why? Because it makes me think of my Catholic school uniform! From kindergarten to eighth grade, I went to St. Bede Catholic School in Hayward, CA. Class of 1992. Ah, the good old days.

And, yes, I am a confirmed Catholic. I've even been to the Vatican.

This bracelet combination goes really well with my funky top.

I think I love you, but I don't know how to tell you.

This is the blue version of my favourite outfit.

pullover: H&M.....skirt: Ross.....shoes: Aerosoles
watch tan: oops, forgot to put on my watch
necklace: Mervyn's.....right-hand ring: silverjewelryclub.com
bracelet: home-made

I bought this 15-inch necklace at Mervyn's in 1997 and didn't wear it much.
That's a shame because now I really like it. :)

Well, I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music.

Today was baggy sweater day for me. And because today was Super Tuesday, a day where I'm mostly on my feet, flats were a must.

Also at work, I stuffed, sealed, and stamped a huge number of envelopes for a client. When my coworker Maria joined in on the fun, I started singing "Neverending envelopes, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh....Neverending envelopes, oh oh oh oh oh oh oh."

When I got back from the post office, Maria was at the front desk, busy working on an e-mail. I got her attention by serenading her with Ike and Tina's "Proud Mary", complete with crazy dancing. That song was stuck in my head from hearing it on the radio on my way to the post office. What was even better was that Maria got up and started dancing and singing with me. Ah, the magic of 4:45 p.m.!

sweater: Nordstrom.....shirt: Gap.....skirt: Bitten, Steve & Barry's
flats: Payless.....bracelets: same ones from yesterday.....right-hand ring: hsn.com
necklace: self-assembled

I usually wear this ring on my right ring finger, but, recently, I discovered it fits
better on my right middle finger. Yeah, random.

A client at work asked me where I got this necklace, and she was so surprised
when I told her that I got all the pieces for the necklace at Michaels. :)

This detail shot also shows that my shirt isn't a flat grey.
It's grey with silvery nylon string mixed in.

louie louie, oh oh baby, said we gotta go now (????)

Today, I had to run some errands. And nothing says "I love 90-degree heat" like a black pullover.

Today was also a good day to clip my bangs back with some black barrettes.

pullover: H&M.....tanktop: Wet Seal.....jeans: Bitten, Steve & Barry's
Etnies sneakers: Pacsun.....dangly bracelet: home-made
stretch bracelet: Flashback's in Tustin (I think)

I always wear this particular tanktop under something else.

One of the errands I had to run was to drop off these bags
at the Goodwill donation site on Hillsdale Avenue.
7 bags of clothes. 1 bag of shoes.

It's like raaaaiiin on your wedding day

Songs I sang at work:
"Ironic" by Alanis and that one Right Said Fred song. You know that one. ;)

My 4 o'clock pick-me-up:
a mug of Holy Chocolate "Amsterdam" topped with BonBonBar vanilla marshmallows. This was seriously a divine experience!

Oh! Let's talk about today's outfit....
This skirt makes me want to dance because of the flounce. And these dark green leather heels? I love how they make my legs look longer than usual.

Also, these shoes are the first pair of non-black work shoes I ever bought. A while ago, my coworker Maria and I went on a shoe-shopping excursion in SF, and she insisted I buy something that wasn't black. I liked how this style looked in black, but in green, oh yeah, baby!, it was even better.

Behold! A safe pose.

Boop-oop-ee-doop! OOP!

Uh-huh. Yeah!

"Heavens to Murgatroyd~!!"

Today, at work, I kept doing my best Snagglepuss impression. I couldn't help it. That pink cartoon cat was on my mind.

Come to think of it, I do some really random things at work.

Last week, I danced like M.J. outside my manager's office when I heard 'P.Y.T.' on her internet radio station. I moonwalked, jumped onto my toes, and then I did that half-kick.

Yesterday, I looked up Academy Award-winning/nominated songs from the 1980s and proceeded to serenade my coworker with "Say You, Say Me", "Take My Breath Away", "I just called to say I love you", "Take a look at me now", and "Flashdance...What a feeling". And then I started doing that dancing/jogging while singing "Maniac".

For today's post, I picked the most fun poses of the 15 self-timer shots I made. Being random should be celebrated.

pullover: H&M.....skirt: Ross.....shoes: Aerosoles
bracelet: home-made.....right-hand ring: shopathometv.com (2001?)

I wore these same items of clothing in this blog's very first post, but obviously with different shoes and accessories.
I really love this black skirt, especially when paired with this green pullover.

This is another cz and 14K gold ring from shopathometv.com, but this time it's a 2-carat rock and all white metal.

I'm in the mood for a Sharkarita on the rocks, no salt.

cardigan: PacSun.....tanktop: H&M.....skirt: Ross.....shoes: Wal-Mart

My outfit for today was inspired by the old skool colour scheme of the SJ Sharks -- teal, black, and grey.

trousers

I only have one pair of slacks in my work outfit wardrobe. That's kinda sad, but, then again, I love skirts way more.

teal and kiwi green glass beads. I made these bracelets in 2002, back when my pliers skills sucked.

I don't wear these flats often, but I do like the stitching detail and the metal.

keep holding my hand, so we don't get separated

This Liz Claiborne cardigan is the hottest pink in all the land. And, yes, I am a sucker for pink sweaters.

Also on display are my newly created necklace and bracelet. I took two bags of mixed beads, mixed them together, and strung them all up.
